Overview
Description
The ACSR / aluminum conductor with steel reinforcement is made through aluminum wire, aluminum cable and uses a main line of power transmission. It is the inner part of the heart of steel, the aluminum cables are braided around the central cable in a spiral and according to certain rules. The steel core is used to improve the strength of the ASCR.
Application
With a simple structure, the aluminum conductor with steel reinforcement is easy to configure and maintain, low market costs and high transmission capacity. It is a disadvantage for this ASCR that is to be put through a valley or river or under other special geographical conditions.
The ASCR has the advantage of having sound electrical conductivity, high mechanical resistance, high extension capacity, etc. The distance can be prolonged. This is used for power transmission lines and with various voltage levels, which play an important role in the field of electricity transmission.
Construction
ACSR is a conductor stranded in a concentric position in which it consists of a single core or central braided cable with a steel core with one or more layers of aluminum wire braided 1350H19. Steel core cables are protected from corrosion by means of galvanizing. Wire with alloy steel or zinc-5% aluminum with metal alloy coating. Static, high, extra and high strength steel are also available.
Standard
ASTM B 232, BS 215 Part 2, IEC 61089, DIN48204, etc.
